15 Min Read

In this article, parents will get a depth review of the new Thule Urban Glide 2 Double Stroller. It has new features and a slightly higher price, of course. That’s so many parents wonder if the money is worth this new model and the improvements.

In my in-depth review of the Urban Glide 2 Double Jogger, you can find the solution. And after reading this article many parents will get the clarity that Thule Urban will be good for their kids or not.

The Company Background

After establishing in 1942 in Sweden, Erik Thulin, the founder, started to manufacture Swedish fishers products. The company is more than 70 years old. Twenty years later the first ski rack and roof rack for luggage were designed by the company.

Thule is a global leader in a range of areas, from roof racks, roof boxes, and bike racks, which you are using on vehicles, camera bags, multi sport and bike trailers. In product categories such as sports- and duffel bags, baggage, and strollers, Thule is also rising rapidly.

Best For Jogging: Thule Urban Glide 2 Double Stroller

Stroller weight – 34.2 lbs

Dimensions – 34.3″ x 30.1″ x 16.2″ (while folded)

Age Range – Infant; can hold up to 100 lbs

The Urban Glide 2 Double is a side-by-side stroller that, when kids get older, this stroller can act as a jogger. By offering a comparable concept with less weight, higher consistency, and a lower price, this double stroller succeeded in edging out the competition. It is designed with a comfortable seat, a padded 5-point safety buckles, and a multi-position canopy with ventilation, your little one is sure to enjoy the ride.

In a bundle that folds relatively small in comparison, this stroller has equivalent seating and features for two, impressive maneuverability, and run-ability. We like that this stroller can be used for daily outings and jogging. The Urban Glide 2 Double is larger, which can be little bit difficult in small spaces. But it also comes in a single version (Thule Urban Glide 2 and Thule Glide 2).

Plus, since it accepts only one car seat, it is not ideal for two children. However, we think that the Glide 2 Double Stroller provides the flexibility of activity that many families feel is important for two older babies and children of different ages. The Thule Double Stroller is specifically built for runners, and Thule Urban is a sleek all-terrain stroller that meets the needs of parents in the city and country.

Buying Guide of Thule Urban Glide 2 Double Stroller

Move over BOB and Baby Jogger, there’s a new double joggers in town, welcome to our much-anticipated thule urban glide 2 review. We have put together some important things for you to consider before making your buying decision, you need to see it.

Run-ability

The Urban Glide 2’s wheels are fantastic and huge. The 3 wheels are super wide, with inflatable pneumatic tubes, allowing a jogging spiral as well as an uneven ground (such as a forest walk or a long grass). The bigger back wheels make it easier to cross clamps, and I just had to press the front wheel to lift it.

You won’t get it either way, though, because these wheels will take a lot of room when it comes to storage or sticking them in the car. You can push and steer the front wheel on a hinge, or you can lock it in place if you are on bumpy terrain, or jog. It’s very quick to turn between the two – just pivot the visible blue dial near the front wheel.

Ease of Use

The Thule is easier to use than most of its competitors. The features of this double stroller work well and some improvements are also available.

Active parents who have two kids of buggy age would love the fact that the Thule can be used as a run-around and a jogging every day.

It’s very durable, so it’s worth using it as early as possible, and it’s going to last for many years, so you can expect to get the benefit of your money.

Fold and Unfold

With one hand and a folding handle (above left), the Thule Urban Glide 2 is very easy to fold and you slide and twist. When folded, it is automatically locked (above right) and will stand at the right height if the handlebar is right. Development takes two hands and is easy.

Sunshade

The Thule Urban Glide’s sunshades have a medium size and a visor for flip-out fabric. The shadow nearly reaches the knee, but not as far as the canopy. Air-flow is supplied with a seat reclining ventilation and has a large glance-a-boo window with a magnetic closing cover.

Brakes

It is very easy to use the brakes. The extended form of the foot brake means that the lift up or down needs to be lowered.

But it’s very easy to use, even though you wear flip flops.

The middle of the push bar also has the brake – you simply push and rotate it. It works only when you keep it, but it is an easy way to slow it down or pause.

Storage

The Thule has a medium-size storage container with a 10 lb weight cap from the back. We put in an extra big pin pack, but the bin is not going to close with the inside of the bag with the weather-resistant zipper cover. It also sports a small object organization back pocket.

Car Seat Compatibility

Just one infant car seat is allowed in the Urban Glide 2 Double. For many brands and special adapters for Chicco and Maxi-Cosi, Thule is offering a universal adapter. You can buy a Thule Urban Glide Car Seat Adapter for Chicco with Chicco Keyfit 30. You need a Thule Car Seat Adapter for Maxi Cosi if your seat of choice includes any of the seats from Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, and Cybex.

Harness

Each seat has a 5-point buckle harness, which is much simpler to use than the previous one. It is very easy to change the harness straps and to modify the harness straps without re-threading with sliders up and down on a strap sewn to the back of the seat. The bracelet length but not the location is adjustable.

Maneuverability

The Glide Double offers a high maneuverability score with a 3-wheel configuration, which is easy to push and turn. The Glide is easy to drive and turn on flat surfaces by means of air-filled rubber tires and the front swivel wheel. The Thule is nicer than other double joggers in some way.

For moving and turning off the lane, grass, gravel, bumps or curbs are just as easy to use. The smoothness of the suspension makes it feel a little spongy, however, and we would like it to be adjustable as the BOB. This Thule has a suspension for the rear wheel, rubber pipes, dense sit padding (the thickest in the group), and harnesses to make a relatively simple ride.

Wheels/Suspension

If you walk up and down the hills or are doing jogging, it is a huge bonus, as you can pace quickly or stop without wondering what the foot-brake is like. It was very useful to slow down on the floors when we approached a crossing or when we go downhill.

We were checking it while jogging and were amazed – it was very useful. The emergency stop was also quick to bring. The Nipper Sport brake mounting the bar, which you grip like a bicycle brake, felt even simpler to use.

Weight and Folded Size

This Thule weighs 32.1 lbs, which for a double jogging stroller is surprisingly light. When folded, the Urban Glide 2 Double is smaller than some other joggers, at 20,820 cm, slightly higher than an average.

Quality

This double stroller provides high-quality design and materials for one of the nicest scoops in the study. The fabric fastens to the frame through a groove that practically seamless and secretes the connection. The fabric has an almost respiratory feel and is smooth and tight and easy to clean.

With a steeper feel and a few exposed links or fixtures, the frame is soft and lightweight. This Thule is fit and finished with a smooth and smart design and is clean. The Urban Glide Double is great if you’re serious about running or just want a light and pushy Jogging Gamin.

The best qualities of the top sports coaches tend to be merged to form a stunning bundle on the market. Though we would like to see some minor tweaks changed, it is basically an amazing slider that is lightweight and very well manages in a number of fields. This is for the extreme rider but has the characteristics to please any active family.

Accessories

The new Thule Urban Glide 2 comes with four accessories and those four accessories are:

Thule Snack Tray For simple, not the hard way into food and drink for little snackers. The trays may be useful for older boys and girls, but smaller babies will not be able to get stretched to them while banded in. But it is not a big deal.

Thule Car Seat Adapters In fact, you can go into 2 car seats in the buildings-covered fly softly 2, though I have not actually troubled it. But, the folks at Thule say without any doubt it can be done. Great for when your very young person is under ~ 4 months.

Thule Mesh Cover I really suggest this one for dryer weather conditions. Just a little more sun care and keeps those pesky bugs out when you need it to. Compatible with all 5-point harness systems. Large zip-opening to adjust temperature and to easily access your little one.

Thule Rain Cover Compatible with Thule Urban Glide 2.0 (Single) and Thule Glide 2.0 jogging strollers. Custom fitted for maximum weather protection. Simple and easy installation.

Ease of Setup

With just over 6 minutes of assembly time, the Glide is the easiest to use. The documents are simple and no tools are required to assemble them. You just have to slip on the wheels and you’re finished. Sounds easy, right.

What Babcare Parents Say

The Thule urban glide 2 stroller is really loved by parents. It is so easy to press and for both parents and children, it was very comfortable to use.

Parents become a huge fan of buggies that turn every day to Jogging, Phil & Teds Sport, and the solid frame and genius wheels of Thule are well built, with ergonomic push bars and hand brakes.

The only major drawback was its size – this shoe cannot fit into my front door or car boat, which both have a personal checklist of parents’ dream buggy needs.

Conclusion

The elegant, European-styled Thule Urban Glide 2 double stroller looks fantastic, works well and has “small things” that give it the edge, namely, a lighter weight, a simplified (self-standing) fold, tweak-able locking front wheels, full-coverage ventilated canopies that travel with the heat, a superior ergonomic handlebar, and an excellent covered storage basket.
